TDOE is holding several webinars on August 29th, August 30th and September 1. These sessions are for Directors of Schools and their designees to learn about the Principal Evaluation process. After the webinars we will post the presentation materials.
As our summer TEAM trainings sessions are quickly approaching, we are searching for exemplary educators to apply to serve as TEAM Trainers. Specifically, we are seeking two trainers from each of our eight CORE regions. If you know an educator who you feel would be a good candidate for one of these positions, please share this application information sheet with them (see below). The State Board of Education recently approved the use of a new fine arts portfolio model that generates individual growth scores for fine arts teachers. This model was designed by a group of Tennessee fine arts educators and is garnering national interest. We are excited to finally be able to provide Tennessee fine arts teachers with an evaluation system that is tied to the measurement of student learning in the arts. Below is a Teacher Guide that explains the model in greater detail.
