The department will provide principals with a report that recommends one-on-one partnerships between teacher pairs based on complementary strengths and areas of growth on specific instructional practice areas. These pairings are based entirely on indicator-level classroom observation scores, not on overall scores, allowing teachers to focus their time on developing specific skills and classroom practices.
The school principal refines the suggested matches sent by the department, determines the final partnership pairings in the school, and introduces each pair to one another.
Setting up and managing the IPI requires very little time from the principal. Principals will be provided extra support and guidance on how to finalize partnerships, approach teachers, and guide the partnership work.
