We’re excited to announce an update to the learning management system that houses the TEAM evaluator training. TEAM training is transitioning to a new platform called TeachALL. This new learning management platform will make accessing TEAM trainings simple and more user friendly.

 

No more hassle with course registrations! With TeachALL, evaluators can now self-enroll in initial evaluator courses at their convenience. Certified evaluators will still receive a recertification email annually with log in information.   Upon completion of certification courses and passing assessments, TeachALL automatically awards you with a well-deserved certificate, which will automatically connect to TNCompass to upload your credentials.

 

TeachALL is an intuitive and user-friendly platform designed to empower evaluators. The new platform is easy to access with your Single Sign On (SSO).

Recertification courses will be open from June 3, 2024 to August 31, 2024.

Initial certification courses will be open from June 3, 2024 to March 31, 2025.

Description
  • According to state board rule 0520-02-01 and state board policy 5.201, all educators must be evaluated annually by a certified evaluator.
  • The department conducts initial certification and recertification training, administers certification tests, issues evaluator credentials, and provides continuous evaluator support for the TEAM rubric.
  • To conduct observations, evaluators must be certified.
    • Evaluations conducted by non-certified evaluators are inadmissible and are grounds for a grievance. 
  • Certification entails participating in an official state-sponsored TEAM training and passing the subsequent online certification test.
  • Certification is valid through June of the current school year regardless of the certification date.
  • All evaluator certification training for 2024-25 is virtual.
  • The certification window for recertification is from June 3, 2024 to August 31, 2024.
  • The certification window for initial certification is from June 3, 2024 to March 31, 2025.
  • Certification is valid until June 30, 2025.

Initial teacher evaluator certification
  • The initial teacher evaluator certification process is designed to prepare evaluators to evaluate teachers and other school service personnel.
    • Once the test is passed, the individual should request the certificate , and credentialed status will be reflected in TNCompass within 7-10 business days.
    • Districts must staff evaluators in TNCompass as observers before evaluations may be conducted.
  • TASL Credit:
    • Completion of the course is awarded 14 TASL credit hours.
    • An email confirming TASL credit will be sent to the participant within 7-10 business after course completion.
    • Credit may be applied to the 2023-24 or 2024-25 cycle as needed.

Initial administrator evaluator certification
  • The initial administrator evaluator training process is designed to prepare evaluators to evaluate administrators.

    • Once the test is passed, the individual should request the certificate, and credentialed status will be reflected in TNCompass within 7-10 business days.
    • Districts must staff evaluators in TNCompass as observers before evaluations may be conducted.
  • TASL Credit:
    • Completion of the module is awarded 7 TASL credit hours.
    • An email confirming TASL credit will be sent to the participant within 7-10 business after course completion.
    • Credit may be applied to the 2023-24 or 2024-25 cycle as needed.

Evaluator recertification
  • 2023-24 certified TEAM evaluators may recertify for the 2024-25 school year by passing the recertification test.
  • For 2023-24 certified evaluators, virtual, self-paced recertification modules are available on the department’s TeachALL platform.
  • Those recertifying may move through the module at their own pace and take the certification test as they are ready.
  • The recertification window is open through August 31, 2024. 
    • Those not completing recertification by August 31, 2024, will be required to complete initial certification.
    • Evaluations conducted by non-certified evaluators are inadmissible and are grounds for a grievance.  
  • Certification is valid until June 30, 2025.  

  • Registration is not required. Invitations to access the learning module and to take the recertification test will be sent directly to currently certified evaluators via TDOE Single Sign On.

  • If you were a certified TEAM evaluator in 2023-24 and did not receive an invitation and process details, please be sure to check spam/junk folders. As invitations were sent in bulk, a firewall may have blocked receipt.
  • TASL Credit:
    • Completion of the recertification course is awarded 7 TASL credit hours.
    • An email confirming TASL credit will be sent to the participant within 7-10 business after course completion.
    • Credit may be applied to the 2023-24 or 2024-25 cycle as needed.
