Training Materials

Background	According to state board rule 0520-02-01 and state board policy 5.201, all educators must be evaluated annually by a certified evaluator. The department conducts certification and recertification training, administers certification tests, issues evaluator credentials, and provides continuous evaluator support for the TEAM rubric. In order to conduct observations, evaluators must be certified. Conducting observations without full certification is a grievable offense. Certification entails participating in an official state-sponsored TEAM training and passing the subsequent online certification test. Certification is valid through the end of the current school year regardless of the certification date. An evaluator that holds a certification for the immediately preceding school year may recertify through an online recertification process. Online recertification opportunities are emailed directly to certified evaluators.
